London, >> IP Address Book About to fill <<
Reserved for the websites, the IP address book is about to fill completely. It is almost 95% full at this stage. This will eventually require a new Internet protocol version. At present, Internet Protocol Verson 4 (IP v.4) is being used, which uses a 32 bit number system. Millions of combinations have been prepared and alloted worldwide, but the remaining unalloted ones are few… This is also misunderstood as the End of the Internet (as shown in many News Channels previously). But, it is not…

The depletion of the IPv4 allocation pool has been a concern since the Internet started to grow. IPv4 provided only 4 billion addresses. And the only solution to this exhaustion of IPv4 is to implement a new and better Protocol i.e. IPv6.
Which means, 128-bit based IP v.6 is next to be implemented. It has been declared that by June 2011, the remaining unalloted ip address will be alloted and IP v.6 will be on its way …
IPv6 has a larger address space than IPv4. More combinations, implements new features that will simplify address assigning, network security is integrated and lot more features. We don’t need to get the background details. In a nutshell, this new Internet Protocol will include huge combinations and better security.
John Curren (American Registry for Internet Numbers, ARIN) says that it is a big challenge to make countries worldwide agree to implement IP v.6.
