Celebrations – Internet 40 years

40 years ago in the UCLA lab, a revolutionary event took place.  At that time, no one would have ever imagined that this will shape into a great revolution for the human society. The event was the transfer of information between two computers placed near each other. That was 2^nd September, 1969. The great step was the origin of Internet to the world.

If you are an internet user, you would surely know what it can do! Exploring information, file transfers, news, updates, downloading and the most important aspect is communication. You can communicate and express your views around the world.

Recent features of internet include money transfer (internet banking), booking and billing, online shopping and so on.

Internet was proposed as a project in the university and visionary and professional people encouraged it and named it as ‘Open Access Network’. Today we are used to so much into the internet is a combination of thoughts, creativity and hard work. Millions and millions of people are taking advantage of this revolutionary invention in the field of computer.

According to the website internetworldstates.com, more than 16 billion (167 crores) viz. 25% of population around the world are using internet which is 360% of the population of year 2000.

According to a survey (research)”future -internet” tells that in the upcoming time this Technology will furnish much more in the future. The future of internet is very much secure and bright.

Although, the developing countries like India are way much backward (much more strong in recent survey) in communication through internet than other developed countries like- China, USA. The primary aim of technology ministry in India is to convey the facility to the rural and backward areas of India which are not familiar with Internet. The solution to this issue is to increase the bandwidth and decreasing the hardware cost.

SO, to conclude Internet is a boon to the communication sector and is growing very rapidly as the domination mode of communication. Nowadays, people will rather prefer to chat online or e-mail to someone instead of mailing or calling through a phone. Its growing popularity will surely rise high in the future.
